Winterization:
Our winterization process protects your engine and systems during the off-season. We offer two packages for Stern Drive (Volvo Penta & Mercruiser) and Tournament boats:

Essential Winterization: Includes engine winterization with fuel stabilizer, fogging oil, and antifreeze, plus an engine mechanical & responsiveness check, trailer safety inspection, and auxiliary systems check.

Premium Winterization: Includes all the Basic Winterization services, plus engine oil and filter replacement, fuel filter replacement, and for Stern Drives: drive leg removal, bellows boot and gimbal bearing inspection, gimbal housing gasket replacement, drive leg oil change, and pressure test. For Tournament Boats: V-drive and transmission inspection, fluid replacement.
Battery removal and storage are available for an additional fee ($25 for 1 battery, $40 for 2). Additional water systems (heaters, showers) are subject to separate charges.
Spring Run-Up:
Our spring run-up service prepares your boat for the season. We perform a thorough inspection, including checks on:

Trailer (lights, tires, brakes, bearings, connections, winch, etc.)

Engine and Drive (oil levels, leaks, prop, hoses, etc.)

Battery (condition and charge)
-
Systems (gauges, lights, blower, bilge pump, stereo, etc.)
We also install engine and manifold plugs (which should be removed after running and then reinstalled), connect hoses, and ensure your boat is ready for the water. Please note that a water test is not included in the spring run-up service, and we cannot guarantee against any performance issues.
Trailer Brake & Bearing Services
We offer comprehensive trailer brake and bearing services to ensure your trailer is safe and road-ready.
Trailer Brake Inspection:
Our brake inspection includes the following:

Checking callipers/wheel cylinders for proper function and leaks.

Inspecting all steel and flex brake lines for leaks.

Verify the brake actuator's operation and check for leaks.
Tandem Axle Wheel Bearing Inspection and Repack/Oil Bath Service:
This service includes:

Wheel removal.
-
Bearing disassembly and cleaning of old grease/oil.

Bearing inspection for damage/heat scoring (replacement if required).
-
Wheel bearing repacking with fresh grease (where applicable) or oil fill.

Bearing reinstallation and tightening.
-
New wheel seal installation.
-
Wheel mounting.
-
Tire pressure check and adjustment.

Wheel torqueing.
Important Notes:

Disc brakes incur an additional charge of $30 per wheel.

What to do immediately following an accident:
Contact your insurance company.
Wait for an adjuster to investigate the claim.
Provide any relevant information, such as witness contact information.
How Dandy can help:
Bring your damaged boat or trailer to us. We will:
Provide a detailed written estimate for repairs, which we will send to you.
Send the estimate and photos of the damage directly to your insurance adjuster if you provide us with their contact information.
What to expect after filing a claim:
The adjuster will determine the amount of damage covered by your policy.
The adjuster will identify any liable parties.
The insurance company will either approve or deny the claim.
If approved, the insurance company will issue payment.
